Welcome to Angelic Complementary Therapies September 2024 Newsletter
It’s September and we’re beginning to move into the season of autumn. I do love all the seasons we experience in England, and I always feel ready to embrace the new one just as the present is ending. One thing I love about autumn is the golden colours nature presents to us. It’s as if nature is reminding us of the treasure which surrounds us should we choose to see it. A time to harvest, reap and appreciate all we have. How rich our lives are in many ways. I know I am very blessed.
How was your August? Did you go away on holiday? My August was pretty peaceful (apart from the Covid/virus thing that wiped me out for a week). Saying that, I used myself as a bit of a case study – the most noticeable symptom I had was exhaustion and very swollen and painful lymph glands in many areas of my body – including the backs of my knees! I gave myself reflexology lymphatic drainage numerous times throughout the day. Not only did I notice the positive reaction my body had to the RLD, but how satisfying and clear my lymphatic system became that bit more each time (not forgetting the satisfying crunch and obvious movement of the claggy feeling along the system and subclavian vein).
I was fortunate enough to go to Glastonbury with my “Angel Sisters” - Maxine, Debbie and Sally - whom I met many years ago at an angel share group we used to attend. We have spent much time together, learning and sharing knowledge and it was wonderful to spend time with them again in such a spiritual place. If you’ve never been, I very much recommend a visit, especially Chalice Wells – beautiful, sacred, peaceful and very healing.
Holiday
At last, I’m having a two-week holiday – haven’t had two weeks off since before Covid! I’m away from Saturday, September 7th and return to work Monday, September 23rd. Appointments can still be made via my online booking form which is accessible on my website https://www.angelicct.com/book-online
World Reflexology Week 23rd-29th September 2024
World Reflexology Week sets aside the last full week in September every year to encourage people to connect regarding the therapy and share it with the world.
Reflexology is an ancient practice that involves applying pressure to the reflexes on either the feet, hands, ears or face. These reflexes correspond with all the organs within the body and the nervous system, often providing pain relief, pain reduction and stress reduction.
How to celebrate World Reflexology Week?
Book a reflexology treatment for yourself, a loved one or a friend. People who have different types of difficulties, including pain, stress, anxiety, depression, high or low blood pressure, nausea from cancer treatments, sleep issues and many more can benefit from making an appointment with a trained reflexologist.
If you have regular treatments, spread the word to others. Get them to try it and see for themselves the benefits this wonderful practice brings.
I have been a fully trained reflexologist for many, many years now. I continue - to this very day – to be amazed by the positive results it can bring to others. I’m very passionate about this therapy and continue to keep my knowledge up to date and aware of any new findings that have been discovered.
For those of you who don’t know, I offer reflexology via the feet, hands or face and these are the areas of reflexology I specialise in:
· Reflexology – a treatment tailored to the needs your body presents to me at the time of treatment
· Reflexology Lymphatic Drainage
· Professional Clinical Reflexology
· Reflexology with Crystals
· Reflexology with Angel Guidance
· Reflexology for menopause
· Reflexology with Usui Reiki
Quote for the moment
You create what you think about most,
Worrying is like negative goal setting.
By Brian Mayne
Mindfulness
Forgiveness
Being hurt or betrayed is not nice, but it is actually in our own interests to forgive and forget. Holding onto feelings of resentment weighs down our mind and can raise our blood pressure.
This week, think of someone who let you down or hurt your feelings. Does it still hurt? Focus on that hurt and name the emotions it makes you feel. Are there any physical sensations in your body?
Then, bring awareness to your mind – are your thoughts spiteful or hateful? Ask yourself, is this feeling worth holding on to? Who does it benefit?
It’s time to let go. Try and see the situation from the other side. While you don’t need to condone their actions, you can acknowledge that everyone has their own difficulties and sufferings that make them act in certain ways.
Of course, some triggers are bigger than others and the smaller ones can be forgiven more quickly. The bigger ones need to be approached slowly, step by step.
Crystal
Angel Wing Calcite
Whilst visiting Glastonbury, we came across a wonderful crystal shop (right at the top of the high street, on the right-hand side). One of the owners of the shop used dosing rods to see what crystal would be appropriate for me. She had never met me before; she was being guided. She was drawn to Angel Wing Calcite for me (little did she know my connection with the Angelic Realm).
This is a high vibrational crystal, beneficial for core soul healing, insight and angelic connection. It teaches discernment and patience in making decisions enabling you not to rush into anything and to consider all sides. It restores hope and motivation whilst energising and uplifting you on all levels.
Angel Card
Harmony and Resolution
The Angel Guide Oracle Deck, Kyle Gray
Angels of harmony and healing are with you to help you resolve any conflicts that have been disturbing your inner peace. Your angel guide is suggesting you release any need to be right or get your point across, for this will only create hostility. This is a time to focus on your own inner peace. Dedicate time and energy to doing what you can to make yourself feel comforted and comfortable. Through being more caring, you will create harmonious energy that will wash out like a wave to all those around you. Trust that this will happen, and harmony will be restored.
I wonder what this September has in store for each of us. Whatever it brings, may it be fun and peaceful. Maybe think of ways you can have quality time with the people in your life or quality time with yourself. Be present and, as I always say, be kind to all, but mostly yourself. I look forward to seeing you soon, with love and light.
