Welcome to Angelic Complementary Therapies May 2022 Newsletter
Welcome to May! Where is this year going? Is it just me or is time moving ever faster these days. Last month my youngest turned 15 – it feels like only yesterday I brought him home from hospital. In fact, I think every year I say to Ozzie, “This time ? years ago today I brought you home from hospital and Theo…” and before I’ve even finished Ozzie says, “Gave me a Teddy.” I clearly say the same thing year after year, but it was a very special moment and one I can still see clearly to this day.
This month would have been mum’s 83rd birthday. I’m not sure how I’m going to feel on the day but I intend to make the most of it and visit Kew Gardens. I’m hoping for a peaceful day reflecting on memories of mum, appreciating all she did and allow any feelings to surface and give them the time they need.
This month I’d like to talk about kindness. Kindness doesn’t have to cost a thing, but it can be the most generous and precious act you can do or give someone. During the recent loss of my mum I received many acts of kindness and each and every single one truly touched me and helped me throughout the grieving process. Even the, “Thinking of you,” text meant a great deal.
How can you be kind today?
Who can you help? Who might appreciate someone to talk to either in person or on the phone? Who could do with a boost of kindness? Are there any anonymous acts of kindness you could do today?
At the end of the day, we are all family in ‘Life’. Kindness is the glue that holds us together.
I’d like to share the Usui Reiki Principles.
To bring Spiritual Depth into everyday life, Mikao Usui, the founder of the system of Reiki, created a set of five principles. They can be found on his memorial stone in the grounds of Saihoji Temple in Tokyo. He called them, “The secret method of inviting good fortune. The marvellous medicine for all sickness.”
Just for today:
Do not anger
Do not worry
Be grateful
Work with diligence
Be kind to others
Quote for the moment
“What you think you become, what you feel you attract, what you imagine you create.”
Buddha
Gratitude – Be kind to yourself
You are the speaker and listener to your own internal voice.
Decide what you want to say and hear.
Angel card
Release and Surrender
“We shower you with blessings of our radiant love. Open your arms, and release the challenges that you’ve held tightly gripped within your hands. Open your hands, arms and heart to our love and assistance.”
I hope with all my heart that the month of May brings peace and warmth to our lives. Enjoy the long Bank Holiday and Platinum Jubilee Weekends and as I always say, be kind to all, but mostly yourself and I look forward to seeing you soon, with love and light.
