Welcome to Angelic Complementary Therapies August 2023 Newsletter

Hello and welcome to my latest newsletter. I do hope you are well and enjoyed the classic English summer month of July – I’m really hoping things improve for August weatherwise.

Last month was another busy one for me, but by far the best moment was seeing my eldest son, Theo, achieve a Future Talent Award for Film & Media. Like any mum, we’re proud of all our children and all they do in life, but that moment - the moment he won the award - was one of the proudest moments of my life so far.

As told by his teacher -

“Theo is a gifted filmmaker, he is proficient in all areas of filmmaking from directing to cinematography and editing. The attention to detail and meticulous planning is what has set Theo aside from his peers. I believe Theo is a future talent in the film world and I wish him all the best.”

His teacher went in to say that his, “Outstanding surrealist short film literally made his mouth drop open in awe.”

Theo also inspired another teacher to not give up on teaching, he was going to leave the profession, but Theo has inspired him to remain.

One of his films has also been entered into a national competition. I know I’m his mum, but Theo is one of the kindest, sincere, hardworking and gifted people I know I’m so proud to call him my son, more than he possibly knows.

I’ve continued with my “50 years – 50 things I must do” list. Last month I finally walked (hiked) up Mount Snowden in Wales. What a great challenge to finally complete. It’s something I’ve wanted to do for soooo many years and now I’ve finally done it. We made it in really good time too (felt a little like a mountain goat at times, scampering up the rocks). Unfortunately the cloud was covering the summit so the view wasn’t the best, but the hot chocolate was certainly very lovely. On our way home, we stopped at Portmeririon – what a great little place! If the weather had been a bit warmer I could have almost convinced myself I was abroad. Really colourful and fabulous pasta to eat too.

Brilliant News!!!

I am uber excited to say that my new therapy couch/chair has literally just arrived! I have wanted to update my equipment for a good while now, and find it frustrating (and back breaking) to often have to alternate equipment between treatments. Now I have an all singing, all dancing, all in one super comfy electric controlled couch.

The Affinity Diva is the most sophisticated and elegant couch on the market. I cannot wait to use it and really hope you enjoy it’s comfort too.

Gratitude

At the end of the day, write down one thing that happened to you that you are thankful for and the reason why.

It could be your job that you love, a moment of joy with family or a loved one – whatever it is, just write a couple of sentences explaining why you are grateful for it.

For example, “Today I am grateful for having ?? in my life, to be able to go for a walk together and share quality time together. ?? is a true friend and I’m fortunate to have them in my life.

This exercise helps us appreciate things that can be easily glossed over in our life without ever giving gratitude. Writing them instead of simply thinking about them sharpens our focus on the appreciation we feel.

5 Side Effects Of Kindness

  1. Kindness makes you happier

  2. Kindness is good for the heart

  3. Kindness slows ageing

  4. Kindness improves relationships

  5. Kindness is contagious

Crystal of the month – Rose Quartz

Rose Quartz is a truly beautiful crystal and should be in everyone’s crystal collection. Not only is the energy gentle and loving, but it’s also one that can bring great comfort when needed. It purifies the heart and is wonderful for self-love as well as feelings of peace and love towards others. It is known as the crystal for unconditional love.

Quote for the month

“If you think your best thoughts, you will feel your best feelings, take your best actions and live your best life.”

Bryan Mayne

Oracle Card

I wonder what August has in store for each of us? Lots of sunny days and warm evenings (preferably cool nights) I hope.

I genuinely hope for everyone’s nearest and dearest to be healthy, happy and content -and lots of smiles too. Be kind to all, but mostly yourself, and I look forward to seeing you soon, with Love and Light.
