October Newsletter
Welcome to Angelic Complementary Therapies October Newsletter
I do hope you’ve had a lovely September and are keeping well and avoiding the autumnal colds that are doing the rounds – my son very kindly shared his! My month has been very busy with work and studying. However, I was very fortunate attend a three day retreat back in my home County of Dorset. It was a wonderful opportunity to reflect and be still. I tried many new different types of wellbeing exercises and listened to many inspirational writers and teachers. I was also grateful to spend time in one of my favourite places, Glastonbury, where I watched the sun set - a memory I will forever treasure.
I have finally had the opportunity to attend the Professional Clinical Reflexology (PCR) course (postponed due to Covid). I must say it was one of the best courses I have ever attended. When you are seeking help from a Clinical Reflexologist (like myself) you can be assured you are getting the highest quality and professional attention possible. The Langstone-Wring method I totally support, and I am excited to bring this to you and future clients. This practice is suitable for all ages, pregnancy and palliative care. It can help with chronic and acute conditions affecting the hormonal, lymphatic, muscular, skeletal, nervous, hormonal, urinary, reproductive, digestive and circulatory systems. It takes reflexology to another new level.
And now October is here, I’m amazed by how quickly the evenings are drawing in. I seem to be calling my cat in earlier and earlier and it won’t be long until I put my tortoise, Fred, away for hibernation. I tend to think of October as the month for preparing for hibernation. I love drawing the curtains, having a lovely hearty meal and settling in for a quiet evening – after work, obviously.
Gratitude
To Do
There will always be ten thousand plates spinning in your life, a seemingly never-ending to-do list, a handful of problems to solve, people to call, errands to run.
Pause.
Reflect.
Be present and thankful for this very moment. What are ten things you are thankful for right now?
Quote for the moment
“The mind is a mansion but most of the time we are content to live in the lobby”
Dr William Michaels
Mindfulness
Each morning this week, get yourself into a positive start. Start the day by giving yourself a nice big smile in the mirror – you may feel a little self-conscious at first, but stick with it, you may even find yourself breaking out into laughter!. Throughout the day smile more – give others a little lift as you smile at them. Research shows that smiling increases productivity when performing tasks.

Breakthrough
How many beautiful heartfelt wishes have been crushed by fear? How many times has society’s voice of disapproval cast a shadow on your dreams? It is time to break free of these false beliefs and realise your dreams. Allow your heart to guide you. Trust your inner guidance. The time is right!
I wonder what October has in store for each of us? Whatever it is, may it be fun, peaceful and kind and I look forward to seeing you soon, with love and light.
